What's a Webfolio?
Myriad of multimedia artifacts
A student's webfolio contains a myriad of
multimedia artifacts the student produces during a multi-year period of formal
course assignments, student life activities, and career planning.
Organized to demonstrate mastery of standards
Students demonstrate mastery of program and course standards or competencies by building an organized collection of WWW multimedia artifacts that are the result of assignments and activities. Each student’s webfolio shows how he or she is interweaving formal course work, career planning, and student life activities into a unique educational experience.
Program standards, course
competencies, and guidelines to enhance co-curricular activity experiences are
automatically organized as resources for students and appear with the student’s
artifact for the viewer to see.
And provide a foundation for lifelong learning
The webfolio supports professional development and career progression. Faculty or participating practitioners can place professional standards/competencies in the system with associated artifact producing activities for students or graduates to complete.
